PROKOFIEV — an early parthenocarpic cucumber hybrid intended for cultivation in greenhouses, polytunnels, and under plastic coverings. The plant is indeterminate, vigorous, and climbing, with 100% female flowering, ensuring stable and uniform fruiting. The fruits have a dark green color with even coloring, large bumps, length from 10 to 13 cm, and weight from 90 to 110 g. The fruits are dense, crisp, and aromatic, making them attractive to consumers.
The hybrid is characterized by high yield — up to 18 kg per square meter — as well as resistance to complex diseases and shade tolerance. These qualities allow PROKOFIEV to be grown under various protected ground conditions, ensuring a stable and high-quality harvest. The plant is suitable for sowing as seedlings in April–May, followed by transplanting into the ground in May–June.
PROKOFIEV cucumbers are versatile in use: they are excellent for fresh consumption, canning, and pickling. Thanks to their high fruit uniformity and density, the hybrid withstands transportation and storage well, making it profitable for commercial cultivation and marketing.
