Krepyshok — a fast-maturing parthenocarpic cucumber hybrid, intended for cultivation in greenhouses and under temporary plastic covers. The plant is female-flowering, strongly growing with limited lateral branching, facilitating care and shaping. The hybrid features a high number of flower buds per node (3-4), contributing to high yield and stable fruiting even under adverse conditions.
Krepyshok's fruits are cylindrical, dark green with medium-length stripes, and have a large-bump surface with black down. Fruit length is 10-12 cm, diameter 3.5-4.0 cm, weight 110-130 grams. The cucumbers possess excellent taste, crisp texture, and are genetically free of bitterness and hollows, making them ideal for fresh consumption, canning, and pickling.
For successful cultivation, sow seeds or transplant 25-35-day-old seedlings starting from April. The soil should be fertile and well-aerated, enriched with organic materials. Water with warm water every 2-3 days, and fertilize approximately once every 10 days, using organic or mineral fertilizers. The hybrid is resistant to major cucumber diseases, such as cladosporiosis, powdery mildew, and false powdery mildew, and tolerates temperature fluctuations, ensuring stable and high yield — up to 12.5 kg per square meter.
