POSOLO — an early cucumber variety intended for cultivation in open ground and under temporary plastic covers. The period from germination to the start of fruiting is approximately 40-45 days. Plants are medium-height, moderately branched, with high female flower saturation, which promotes good fruit set. It is bee-pollinated and features high yield — up to 14-15 kg per square meter and 5-6 kg per plant.
The fruits of the POSOLO cucumber are cylindrical, 8-12 cm long, weighing 90-120 g. The prickles are large but sparsely distributed, covered with white hairs and brown tips. They exhibit excellent market quality, do not yellow quickly, have juicy, crisp flesh without bitterness. Thanks to these qualities, the cucumbers are ideal for fresh consumption, pickling, and marinating, without becoming soft or developing hollows.
The POSOLO variety demonstrates good resistance to major cucumber diseases, such as true and false powdery mildew, root rot, and olive spot. This makes it a reliable choice for various growing conditions and ensures a stable high-quality yield. Cucumbers of this variety are versatile and suitable for all types of processing.
