OUR CHOICE

Cucumber of the "Our Choice" variety is a fast-maturing parthenocarpic hybrid of cornichon type, reaching fruiting stage as early as 38-43 days after germination. The plant is strong-growing and moderately branched, with a bouquet-type flower bud formation — 6 to 8 fruits form in each node. Fruits are cylindrical, dark green, 10-11 cm long, and weigh approximately 100 g. They are covered with small, frequent bumps, have uniform size, and possess an unmatched taste and aroma. This hybrid is versatile in use: fruits are suitable for fresh consumption as well as for pickling and marinating. "Our Choice" is resistant to a number of diseases, including true and false powdery mildew, olive spot, and root rots, ensuring stable and high yields — 12-13 kg per square meter. This makes it an excellent choice for cultivation both in open and protected soil. Sowing seedlings is recommended in late April — early May, and transplanting into the ground — late May — early June, when the plants have developed 2-3 true leaves. Temporary plastic covers are used for protection in the first days after transplanting. Direct sowing into open ground is also possible in late May — early June. The optimal planting scheme is 50x50 cm, which promotes good plant development and maximum yield.
