Description BUTUZ
Cucumber Butuz is a fast-maturing parthenocarpic hybrid that begins fruiting 43-48 days after germination. The plant is medium-height with limited lateral branching, which simplifies care and promotes high yield. A distinctive feature of the hybrid is its cluster fruiting — 4 to 6 fruits per node, significantly increasing crop productivity. It is recommended to grow Butuz in plastic greenhouses, which ensures a stable and high-quality harvest. Sowing for seedlings is carried out at the end of April, and transplanting into the ground — at the end of May or beginning of June, when plants have developed 3-4 true leaves. Direct sowing into the greenhouse is also possible in May-June, following a planting scheme of 30x70 cm. Cucumber Butuz fruits are cylindrical, bright green, and 9-11 cm long. They are slightly ribbed with white spines, weighing 80-100 g. The fruits have excellent commercial and taste qualities: crisp, with a firm skin and small seed cavity. Due to these characteristics, the fruits are suitable for both fresh consumption and pickling or marinating, making the hybrid versatile in culinary use. The Butuz hybrid has high resistance to major cucumber diseases, including root rot, downy mildew, and olive spot. This significantly reduces the risk of crop loss and decreases the need for frequent application of chemical protective agents. The yield of the hybrid is 11-12 kg per square meter, making it an attractive choice for commercial cultivation in greenhouse conditions.
