JUD is an early parthenocarpic hybrid of cucumber of cornichon type, distinguished by high yield and excellent fruit quality. The plant is strong, with a robust root system and dark green, blue leaf-colored foliage. Fruits are crisp, with firm skin and uniform dark green coloration, large and ribbed, with a length-to-diameter ratio of 3.1:1. Due to its high fruiting capacity and abundant fruit set, the hybrid allows for a large harvest of pickles and cornichons.
The hybrid is resistant to viral and fungal diseases, including cucumber mosaic virus (CMV) and yellow mosaic virus (CVYV), and also shows resistance to powdery mildew and cladosporiosis (HR: Ccu/Px). It is tolerant to high temperatures, making it suitable for cultivation under various climatic conditions. The plant exhibits high regenerative capacity, ensuring numerous lateral shoots and resistance to mechanical damage during harvest.
JUD is intended for cultivation in open ground, both in rows and on trellises. After canning, the fruits retain their firmness and crispness, making this hybrid especially valuable for canned vegetable production. Such a combination of characteristics makes JUD an excellent choice for farmers and gardeners aiming to achieve high-quality and consistent yields of cornichon-type cucumbers.
