Description OLIGARCH
Cucumber variety OLIGARCH is an early-maturing parthenocarpic hybrid with a female flowering type, intended for cultivation in greenhouses and open ground. The plants are indeterminate, medium-branched, with predominantly two or three female flowers per node, which contributes to high yield. Leaves are of medium size, dark green, and the cucumbers have a short cylindrical shape with large bumps and white spines. Fruit weight ranges from 90 to 120 grams, and length varies from 8 to 12 cm, making them ideal for pickling and conservation. A distinctive feature of this variety is the super-bunching type of fruit set, where up to ten fruits can form per node, ensuring continuous fruiting and high yield. The hybrid is well-suited for producing cornichons and pickles with slow-growing fruits, 4 to 6 cm long, which are characterized by crisp, dense texture and excellent flavor. Due to parthenocarpy, cucumbers can be grown without pollination, for example, in isolated greenhouses or under cover, expanding their application potential. The variety exhibits resistance to major cucumber diseases, such as olive spot and cucumber mosaic virus, as well as tolerance to powdery and false powdery mildew. This makes it a reliable choice for intensive production under various climatic conditions. High pickling qualities and commercial yield, reaching over 20 kg per square meter in polyethylene greenhouses, make OLIGARCH attractive for farmers and gardeners aiming to obtain high-quality, flavorful harvests.
