MIRAS

MIRAS cucumber — this is a mid-early, parthenocarpic hybrid, primarily intended for cultivation in protected ground, including plastic greenhouses. The plant is indeterminate, strongly branching, with a female flower type, which ensures the formation of predominantly three to four female flowers at each node. Leaves are large, green or dark green, and the fruits are cylindrical in shape with a rough surface and short white spines. Fruit mass varies from 120 to 156 grams, length around 12 centimeters, diameter 3.5–4 cm. The fruits have a good taste and attractive dark green color.

The MIRAS hybrid is characterized by high resistance to major cucumber diseases, including cladosporiosis, true powdery mildew, cucumber mosaic virus, as well as moderate resistance to root rots and false powdery mildew. Thanks to these qualities, along with high commercial yield — up to 21.5 kg per square meter in plastic greenhouses — this variety is popular among gardeners and farmers. The fruits are well-suited for long-distance transportation, making them convenient for commercial cultivation and sales.

For successful cultivation of MIRAS cucumber, it is recommended to use a classic plant formation scheme, taking into account its vegetative type. Seeds can be sown directly into the soil or via seedlings, which are transplanted after the threat of frost has passed. Plants prefer well-prepared, nutrient-rich, moist soil with neutral acidity, as well as sunny and wind-protected areas. This approach ensures stable fruiting and high-quality harvest.
