BORN

Born F1 is an early parthenocarpic hybrid of cucumber of cornichon type, developed by Enza Zaden. Plants are characterized by a compact and open type with short internodes and minimal suckers, which facilitates care and increases productivity. The vegetative period is approximately 37-45 days, allowing this hybrid to be grown during spring, summer, and autumn periods, primarily in polyethylene greenhouses. Seeds are recommended to be sown at a density of 30-50 thousand per hectare, ensuring high yield.

Born fruits have a cylindrical shape with a deep green color and large-warty surface without white stripes. Fruit length varies from 10 to 14 cm, and average weight is 100-120 grams. Each axil forms 2 to 5 well-aligned fruits with glossy skin and small seed cavity. Due to high resistance to stressful conditions such as temperature fluctuations and hot weather, the hybrid maintains excellent fruit quality and stable fruiting without fruit pinching.

Born hybrid is distinguished by high resistance to main cucumber diseases, including powdery mildew and cucumber mosaic virus, as well as resistance to HR Ccu and IR CMV/CVYV/Px.
