Cucumber Hi Light F1 is a high-yielding hybrid of long-fruited cucumber, developed by Nunhems (Netherlands) for greenhouse cultivation. The plant features a strong root system and stable maximum yield when grown year-round under supplemental heating and lighting. Fruits are cylindrical, 30–34 cm long and weigh 380–420 g, with a thin, smooth dark green skin. Hi Light cucumbers have good storage and transportability, making them an excellent choice for fresh markets and supermarkets. Seeds are packed in 1000 units and recommended for sowing in seedling trays or cell packs.
The Hi Light variety exhibits high resistance to viral and fungal diseases, including cucumber mosaic, powdery mildew, and CGMMV virus, ensuring prolonged fruiting even under high viral pressure. The plant belongs to the Hi evolution family, with short internodes and an open bush structure, promoting good ventilation and reducing disease risk. Hi Light is well-suited for cultivation under artificial lighting, including LED, SON-T, and hybrid systems, at light intensities above 50 μmol, enabling high-quality yields throughout the year.
To enhance plant resistance to diseases and stress, as well as to improve pollination and fruiting, it is recommended to use complex organic fertilizers with microelements in chelated form. These fertilizers contain essential macronutrients and microelements (NPK, Fe, Zn, Cu, Mn, MgO, Co, Mo) and contribute to strengthening plant health and increasing yield. The recommended dosage is 20 ml per 10 liters of water, ensuring optimal nutrition for Hi Light cucumbers throughout the entire growing period.
