Tsezar

Cezar cucumber is a hybrid variety with high yield and early maturity, suitable for cultivation both in open fields and greenhouses. The plant has an indeterminate growth type, ensuring stable productivity and strong growth. Leaves are medium-sized and green, with predominantly female flowers, promoting good fruit formation. The period from germination to the first harvest is approximately 47–51 days, making it a mid-early variety.

Cezar cucumber fruits are cylindrical, dark green with longitudinal light stripes, 10–20 cm long and weighing 85–160 grams depending on harvest stage. The skin is moderately ribbed with sparse hairs, and the flesh is crisp and free of bitterness. The variety is versatile: fruits are suitable for fresh consumption, salad preparation, pickling, and canning. The taste evaluation of fresh cucumbers is high, confirming their excellent flavor.

Cezar is resistant to several diseases, including root rot, powdery mildew, downy mildew, ascochytosis, and brown spot. It is also tolerant to cucumber mosaic virus. Fruits are not prone to overgrowth and retain their market appearance for a long time, although they may take on a barrel shape if harvested too late. The average yield in plastic greenhouses reaches 16.9–17.6 kg per square meter, making this variety attractive for commercial cultivation.
