Cucumber variety Chaikovsky — a modern hybrid developed by the Dutch company Rijk Zwaan, distinguished by high resistance to diseases such as powdery mildew, cucumber mosaic, and brown spot. Plants of this variety are indeterminate, open, and compact, with a strong root system that promotes good development and formation of lateral branches. Chaikovsky is a parthenocarpic variety, requiring no pollination by bees, making it especially convenient for cultivation in greenhouse and covered tunnel conditions, as well as under winter conditions in closed ground.

This variety is considered medium-early, with a period from germination to the first harvest lasting 40–42 days. Fruits have a cylindrical shape with medium-sized bumps, length ranging from 8 to 14 cm, and weight from 70 to 110 grams. Cucumbers are characterized by excellent taste qualities and maintain fruit load throughout the entire growing season, ensuring high yields up to 25 kg per square meter.

Chaikovsky is valued for its resilience and stable fruiting, however, to achieve maximum productivity, timely and proper care is essential. The variety is suitable for cultivation in various greenhouse types, making it a universal choice for agronomists aiming to obtain high-quality and tasty cucumber yields under closed ground conditions.
