DUNYASHA — a medium-maturing cucumber variety with valuable dietary and flavor qualities. The fruits are round, with thin skin and juicy golden-yellow flesh, characterized by a sweet taste without coarse fibers. They are rich in vitamins, microelements, and minerals, making this variety useful and versatile in cooking. Cucumbers are suitable for consumption raw, as well as for stewing, baking, and use as filling for pies. Fruit weight ranges from 150 to 200 grams, ensuring a good yield with proper care.
The variety is resistant to blossom end rot, cold-tolerant, and shade-tolerant, allowing cultivation both in open ground and under plastic coverings. The plant is compact, with a strong root system, and adapts well to various growing conditions. Sowing is conducted from April to July, following a planting scheme of 10-15 plants per 20-40 cm, with seed depth of about 1 cm. For successful cultivation, loamy, well-aerated soils are recommended, as well as seed treatment before sowing and regular applications of mineral fertilizers.
Agricultural techniques include transplanting at the 1-2 true leaf stage and planting seedlings aged 70-80 days after the threat of frost, with row spacing of 70x40 cm. Irrigation should be done with warm water after sunset, and fertilization should be carried out throughout the entire vegetation period. The yield of this variety reaches 2.3–2.9 kg per square meter, making DUNYASHA an attractive choice for fresh market sales as well as for processing and preservation.
