PETERSBURG EXPRESS

Petersburg Express cucumber is an ultra-early hybrid that begins fruiting as early as day 38 after sowing. It is characterized by high yield and excellent cold resistance, allowing cultivation in various climatic conditions, including brief spring frosts. Due to parthenocarpy, this variety does not require pollination, simplifying cultivation and ensuring a stable yield both in greenhouses and open ground.

The fruits are cylindrical with blunt ends, 8-10 cm long and weighing approximately 80-83 grams. The zucchini are dark green with white stripes covering up to a quarter of the fruit's length. The surface is distinctly ribbed with sparse black spines, giving them an attractive appearance. The flavor is excellent, making this variety ideal for pickling and fresh consumption.

The hybrid is resistant to major diseases such as root rot, powdery mildew, and bacterial blight, and also features limited lateral branch growth, simplifying plant care and reducing the need for frequent pinching. Petersburg Express is well-adapted for cultivation in various regions, demonstrating stable fruit set during late-season fruiting and high seed germination rates.
