Cucumber Domovoy F1 is a fast-maturing parthenocarpic hybrid that does not require pollination and features clustered fruit formation. Plants are medium-height with 2-5 fruits in leaf axils. Fruits are 11-13 cm long, weighing 110-130 g, with a warty surface covered in white spines and devoid of bitterness. Cucumbers have an excellent flavor and strong aroma, making them versatile for use in fresh salads, pickling, marinating, and canning.
The hybrid exhibits high resistance to a range of diseases, including olive spot, true and false powdery mildew, and cucumber mosaic virus. Thanks to this and its prolonged fruiting period, one plant can yield a harvest of 6.5-8.7 kg. For cultivation, medium loamy, well-drained soils are recommended, along with crop rotation with good predecessors such as potatoes, onions, cabbage, and peppers.
Cucumber Domovoy F1 seeds are sown in April-May at a depth of about 2 cm, followed by transplanting seedlings after the frost threat has passed at a temperature of 14-16°C. For seedlings, the optimal germination temperature is around 25°C, then reduced to 15°C after emergence. The recommended planting scheme is 70x50-55 cm, with regular watering, fertilization, and soil loosening to achieve maximum yield and fruit quality.
