Description

Cucumber Emerald Family — a fast-maturing parthenocarpic hybrid that begins fruiting 40-43 days after germination. This hybrid is intended for cultivation in greenhouses and under temporary film coverings. The plant is female-flowering, strong-growing, with limited lateral branching, which simplifies care and harvest. A distinctive feature of the hybrid is its cluster fruiting — up to 5 fruits per node, contributing to high yield.

Fruits are cylindrical, 10-12 cm long, 3.5-4.0 cm in diameter, weighing 120-130 g. They are dark green with frequent medium-sized bumps and white spines. The cucumbers have excellent flavor and are versatile in use: suitable for pickling, marinating, and fresh salads. The hybrid is resistant to true powdery mildew and olive spot, and has moderate resistance to false powdery mildew.

For cultivation, seedlings should be sown at the end of April, followed by transplanting into the ground at the end of May to early June, when the plants have formed 3-4 true leaves. Direct sowing into the ground in May–June is also possible. Optimal planting scheme — 30x70 cm. Yield of the hybrid is 14.6–15.8 kg per square meter, making it an attractive choice for gardeners seeking early and abundant harvests of high-quality cucumbers.
