Description

Cucumber Papenkin's Daughter — a fast-maturing parthenocarpic hybrid that begins fruiting 40-43 days after germination. The plant is strong-growing, moderately branched with a female flowering type, ensuring stable fruit formation. The hybrid features a bouquet-type flower set, with 2-3 flowers per node, which contributes to high yield even under unfavorable growing conditions.

The fruits are cylindrical, 12-14 cm long, 3.5-4.0 cm in diameter, and weigh 130-150 g. They are dark green with medium-sized bumps and white spines, giving them an attractive appearance. The hybrid is resistant to true powdery mildew and olive spot, and has moderate resistance to false powdery mildew, significantly reducing the risk of disease and crop loss.

Papenkin's Daughter is intended for cultivation in greenhouses, under temporary plastic coverings, as well as on balconies and loggias. Seedlings should be sown at the end of April, and transplanted into the ground at the end of May to early June, when the plants have developed 3-4 true leaves. Direct sowing into the ground in May-June is also possible. The optimal planting scheme is 30x70 cm, ensuring comfortable plant growth and maximum yield, reaching 15.2-16.1 kg per square meter.
