CUCUY

Cucuy F1 is an early cucumber hybrid distinguished by its rapid maturity: the fruiting period is 45-48 days from germination to harvest. The plant is pollinated by bees, has a mixed flowering type, and a high proportion of female flowers, which contributes to good fruit set and uniform yield. The hybrid is intended for open-field cultivation and is characterized by high resistance to false powdery mildew, making it a reliable choice for gardeners.

Cucuy fruits are 9-12 cm long and weigh 80-100 g. They are dark green with light stripes, covered with frequent small bumps and brown spines, and are free of bitterness. Up to 3 fruiting sites develop in the leaf axils, contributing to high productivity — one plant can yield 4.5 to 5.5 kg of cucumbers. The fruits are versatile: suitable for fresh consumption as well as for pickling.

For cultivation, seedlings should be sown in early May, followed by transplanting into the ground at the end of May to early June, when the seedlings reach the 2-3 true leaf stage. Direct sowing into the ground is also possible at the end of May. The recommended planting scheme is 40x40 cm, ensuring adequate space for plant development and high yield.
