Description CUCKARACHA
Cucumber 'Cuckaracha F1' is an early-maturing hybrid developed at the Vegetable Experimental Station named after V.I. Edelstein. This variety is recommended for cultivation in protected ground, especially in winter greenhouses during the autumn-winter cycle. Plants are tall, with long main stems and weak branching, featuring large dark-green, pentagonal-shaped leaves. Fruit set begins on day 38-42 after planting, allowing for a quick harvest.

The fruits of 'Cuckaracha' cucumber are cylindrical, 18-26 cm long, and weigh about 300 g. The fruits have smooth or slightly wrinkled surfaces with white spines and ribbed texture. The flavor quality is good, making this variety popular for fresh consumption. The hybrid exhibits high market yield, reaching up to 14.7 kg per square meter.

Despite its high productivity, the 'Cuckaracha' variety is susceptible to powdery mildew, requiring careful care and preventive measures during cultivation. The hybrid is insect-pollinated but can partially produce parthenocarpic fruits, ensuring stable fruiting even under insufficient pollination.
