Nenarokovskiy – this is a perennial brome grass with erect stems of medium length and without pubescence. Leaves are linear, light green, of medium hardness, without waxy coating, and the ligule is short and pointed. The plant is characterized by an early start of flowering; inflorescences are loose, bluish-green, of medium length, without rachises. Seeds are lanceolate, light gray. Rhizome is absent.
The variety is distinguished by high resistance to drought and winter hardiness, as well as low requirement for fertile soils. It can withstand flooding for more than 20 days, which makes it suitable for cultivation on sloping and sandy areas. In crops, the plant persists for up to eight years.
Nenarokovskiy provides high yields of green mass – about 151 t/ha (with growth of 14.3 t/ha) and dry matter – almost 50 t/ha (growth 5.4 t/ha). At the same time, hay is obtained in the range of 20 to 50 t/ha, and seeds – from 3 to 8 t/ha. Due to these characteristics, the variety is widely used as a component of meadow-pasture grass mixtures, for obtaining green fodder and hay, as well as for reclamation of slopes and sandy lands.
