Ajur watercress seeds are a mid-early variety that grows quickly: from germination to harvest readiness in just 20–30 days. Plants form a compact upright rosette 18–25 cm high and 20–30 cm in diameter with tender light green leaves that retain a vibrant flavor even at low temperatures.

Ajur watercress is versatile in cultivation: it can be sown in open ground, greenhouses, or even at home. For optimal growth, it is recommended to sow seeds in furrows 1–1.5 cm deep at a density of 3–4 g per 10 m², with a plant spacing of 25–30 cm within the row and 25 cm between rows. This minimizes the need for thinning and ensures good air circulation.

Nutritional properties and flavor make Ajur an excellent condiment for meat and fish dishes: root leaves and young shoots have a pleasant spicy mustard aroma. The plant tolerates cold well, can grow at +5 °C, but feels most comfortable in the 15–20 °C range. Watering should be done in the morning so that leaves dry by evening – this reduces disease risk. Evening watering increases the likelihood of infection.
