Cornflower Snegir

A Breeding Breakthrough in Cornflowers

The 'Snegir' variety is a product of the Federal Scientific Center for Vegetable Production (Russia). Diverging from the traditional blue field flowers, this variety represents a selected form of Centaurea cyanus that shifts the aesthetic perception of the species with its impeccably white inflorescences.

Agrotechnical and Decorative Features

This model was developed for professional horticulture and landscape design. Its primary characteristics include:

• Color profile: Pure white, setting the plant apart from standard blue or purple varieties.
• Versatility: The variety is perfectly adapted both for professional floral arrangements (cut flowers) and for creating statement decorative plantings in gardens and park zones.

'Snegir' is aimed at those seeking not only low-maintenance annuals but also purity of shade. Its breeding focus ensures resistance to standard cultivation conditions while maintaining an elegant appearance suitable for commercial floriculture. The variety's reputation rests on the academic foundation of the Federal Scientific Center for Vegetable Production, ensuring varietal consistency when cultivation technologies are followed.
