Vasilek Blauer Jung is an annual flower with a tall and sturdy stem reaching 70–90 cm in height. Its double buds are colored in a rich blue-grey shade, making the plant particularly attractive for creating fresh bouquets and decorative compositions.
The variety is distinguished by a long flowering period – from June to October, as well as the ability to retain freshness for a long time after harvesting. Because of this, it is widely used in floristry: it is easy to place in water, where the flowers remain bright and fragrant for over a week.
Vasilek Blauer Jung grows well both in open ground and in containers. It prefers sunny places or partial shade, fertile loose soils with good moisture – sandy or loamy. If there is a lack of nutrients, the plant can be fed with balanced mineral fertilizers. Due to its versatility, it is often added to annual mixbeds, adorns fences and walls of garden buildings, and is also used for lawn decoration.
