Stozhar 330 MV

Mid-early maize hybrid Stozhar 330 MV (FAO 330) was developed by the Institute of Steppe Agriculture of NAAS of Ukraine and is intended for cultivation in forest-steppe and steppe zones. This hybrid is distinguished by high and stable grain yield, reaching 10.0–11.0 t/ha, making it attractive for grain use. Plants are of medium height — 240–250 cm, with ear attachment height of 80–90 cm, ensuring ease of harvest and good adaptation to various growing conditions.

The ear of the hybrid is cylindrical in shape, 23–24 cm long, with 16–18 rows of kernels and 34–38 kernels per row. The grain is yellow with red sides, dent-shaped, with 1000-kernel weight of 310–330 g. The hybrid is characterized by intensive grain moisture loss and responds well to improved growing conditions. Planting density before harvest is 70–75 thousand plants/ha in forest-steppe and 45–50 thousand plants/ha in steppe.

Stozhar 330 MV has high resistance to main stress factors: resistance to lodging is rated 8.5 out of 9, cold resistance — 8 points, drought resistance — 8.5 points, disease resistance — 9 points, and pest resistance — 8.5 points. The hybrid seeds are coated with Maxim 025 and a biostimulator with environmentally friendly paint without polymers, enhancing their protection and quality. Packaging is done in paper bags of 25 kg.
