Barley MIP Atlas

Operational insights on "MIP Atlas"

When managing winter barley, the priority is a stress-free harvest and consistent grain quality. "MIP Atlas" from the Mironivka Wheat Institute is a reliable tool for those who value efficiency in the field. As a two-row variety, it delivers well-filled, uniform grain, which is crucial for handling logistics and storage without unnecessary waste.

Field performance and maintenance

• Vegetation period: Spanning 80–100 days, this variety allows for flexible scheduling of harvest operations, preventing equipment bottlenecks.
• Plant structure: Standing at 90–100 cm, it strikes the perfect balance. It is not prone to overgrowth, which makes the header operation straightforward and minimizes lodging risks.
• Threshing ease: One of the main advantages for an operator is how cleanly the grain separates from the ear. There is minimal cracking, which reduces the load on the combine cleaning system and increases daily throughput.

Working with "MIP Atlas" feels consistent. It shows excellent plasticity across various soil types in Ukraine. It doesn't require overly complex management; standard seeding rates and typical fertilization programs are sufficient to achieve stable performance. For those focusing on yield and ease of maintenance, this variety offers a practical solution that performs reliably even during spring temperature fluctuations.
