MIP Atlas

MIP Atlas is a winter barley variety distinguished by high drought resistance and resistance to lodging and shattering, making it popular among Ukrainian farmers. This variety belongs to the early-maturing group and reaches a height of up to 93 cm. The ear is two-rowed, semi-erect, pyramidal in shape, with fairly large, elliptical-elongated grains. Protein content in the grain ranges from 12.3 to 14.5%, indicating good grain quality. Resistance to major diseases is rated 6-7 points, but for protection against rust diseases, it is recommended to treat seed material with a fungicidal seed treatment.

For effective cultivation of barley MIP Atlas, it is important to use the herbicide Atlas, containing the active ingredient metolachlor, belonging to the chloroacetanilide group. This herbicide is used in agriculture to combat weeds, including on sugar beet, corn, and other crops. The mechanism of action of the herbicide involves blocking cell division in sensitive plants, leading to their death. The herbicide is applied to soil before sowing or before emergence of the crop, ensuring effective weed suppression and improved growing conditions for barley.

The dosage of the herbicide Atlas depends on soil type and growing conditions, requiring an individual approach when applied. Combining the barley variety MIP Atlas with the herbicide Atlas allows for increased yield and grain quality, ensuring resistance to adverse factors and reducing losses from weeds and diseases. This integrated approach contributes to successful agricultural production and stable results.
