Corn hybrid Propulse is a mid-season hybrid with high yield potential and adaptability to various soil-climatic conditions. Its distinctive feature is rapid early growth, which promotes active soil surface coverage and formation of a strong leaf canopy, ensuring moisture retention and efficient photosynthesis. The grain is dent-type, with 34 to 36 kernels per row and 16 to 18 rows, with a 1000-kernel weight of 330–360 grams. Recommended plant density at harvest varies depending on the moisture zone: from 50,500 to 70,700 plants per hectare.
The Propulse hybrid exhibits high tolerance to major corn diseases, including northern corn leaf blight, stalk and ear fusarium, southern corn leaf blight, and stalk rot. This enables cultivation under high planting density and in crop rotation with intensified corn cultivation. The hybrid's robust root system allows planting under various main soil preparation technologies, expanding its application across different agrotechnical systems.
Propulse is recommended for planting after various preceding crops, as well as in monoculture. Optimal planting conditions include soil temperature at seed depth not lower than +8 °C on chernozems and +10 °C on light sandy soils. The hybrid performs well in the Polissia, Forest-Steppe, and Steppe zones, demonstrating stable and high yields due to the combination of genetically inherent agronomic qualities and adaptability to diverse growing conditions.
