Variety distinguishing features. Variety with silica-dentate (ssp.semidenta). Plant height 230-260 cm. Ear attachment height 92-97 cm. Number of leaves 14-15. Ear length 22-24 cm. Row of kernels 14-16. Grain yield 84-85%. Ear stalk red. 1000 kernel weight 270-275 g.
Biological characteristics. Maturity group early-maturing FAO 190. Period from emergence to full maturity 95-102 days. Early growth rapid. Cold resistance high. Drought resistance high. Resistance to lodging high. Resistance to ear drooping high. Resistance to aerial smut high. Resistance to bubble smut high. Resistance to stalk rot high. Resistance to corn borer medium.
Agronomic characteristics. Potential grain yield 10.0-11.0 t/ha. Recommended planting density for Forest-steppe 60-65 thousand/ha, for Polissya — 65-68 thousand/ha. Harvest moisture 18-22%. Potential forage yield 43.0 — 46.0 t/ha. Dry matter content in forage 32-33%. Protein content in grain 9.8-10.2%. Starch content 74.8%.
Hybrid seed production is conducted on sterile M-type basis. Sterility of maternal form 99-100%. Optimal planting scheme of parental forms on hybridization plots 12:4 but possibly 10:2. Parental components are sown simultaneously and at the same depth on hybridization plots. Seed yield under favorable conditions 2.5-2.8 t/ha.
