Corn hybrid PCH 1 BB 6 BB is an improved hybrid developed based on the "Dneprovsky 181" variety. This hybrid is characterized by high resistance to stem breakage and strong winds, ensuring reliability when grown under various climatic conditions. The plant reaches a height of 220-230 cm, and the ear has a cylindrical shape, 20-22 cm long, with 14-16 rows of kernels. The corn kernels are cream-colored with a toothed texture, turning yellow-orange upon maturity, with a 1000-kernel weight of 250-270 g, indicating high seed quality.
This corn variety is well-adapted to Ukraine's climate, where air temperature during the growing season ranges from 18 to 28 °C, and precipitation amounts are 400-500 mm. Due to its resistance to dry heat and cold weather fluctuations, PCH 1 BB 6 BB ensures a stable and high yield. Moreover, the kernels of this hybrid exhibit good resistance to common corn diseases such as stalk rot and gray leaf spot, reducing the risk of yield loss.
To increase yield and improve kernel quality, it is recommended to use micronutrient preparations such as Manganese-Zinc, applied during pre-sowing seed treatment and two non-root feedings during the 3–5 and 6–7 leaf stages. These agronomic practices contribute to an increased number of ears, kernel weight, and crude protein content, making the cultivation of corn PCH 1 BB 6 BB efficient and profitable for agricultural producers.
