Description PCHY 6 V
PCHY 6 V is a mid-season corn hybrid intended for grain and silage production. Plants reach a height of about 260 cm, making this variety effective for silage use. The hybrid features a flinty-ridged kernel type with an intermediate structure, closer to flinty, and coloration ranging from yellow-orange at the top to orange at the bottom. The ear is medium-long, slightly conical, with 16-18 rows of kernels and 40-46 kernels per row, providing a high yield potential of up to 15.9 t/ha.

The variety exhibits high resistance to lodging and major corn diseases such as helminthosporium, fusarium, and common rust, significantly reducing yield losses. The hybrid’s drought tolerance is above average, allowing it to maintain normal growth rates even under low irrigation levels. After reaching physiological maturity, PCHY 6 V rapidly sheds moisture, facilitating harvest and reducing drying costs.

The plant has medium leaf width with a slight angle between the leaf blade and stem, as well as weak anthocyanin pigmentation on various parts of the plant. The ear attachment height is approximately 98 cm, which facilitates mechanical harvest. The hybrid is recommended for cultivation in various regions with planting densities adapted to climatic conditions: from 60,000 to 90,000 plants per hectare depending on the zone.
