Maize P8521

Stable grain yield with the P8521 hybrid

For growers focused on producing marketable grain with predictable performance, Pioneer s.a. offers the P8521 hybrid. This simple, dent-type corn hybrid has established itself as a reliable tool for operations where phytosanitary field cleanliness and the mitigation of fungal disease risks are critical.

Phytosanitary resilience as a priority

The core value of P8521 lies in its genetic protection. In high-humidity conditions or crop rotations saturated with corn, where pathogen risks increase significantly, this hybrid demonstrates excellent resistance to:

• Loose smut;
• Common smut.

Furthermore, the hybrid exhibits high tolerance to Helminthosporium leaf blight and stalk rot. For a farm, this translates into significant savings on fungicide applications and the avoidance of losses due to premature lodging or ear decay, which often plague less resilient varieties.

Practical application in the field

This hybrid is developed exclusively for grain production. Its dent grain type ensures favorable moisture release during maturation, simplifying harvest logistics and reducing costs associated with subsequent grain drying. It is recommended for intensive farming technologies where crop rotation management and optimal sowing windows allow the hybrid's genetic potential to be fully realized.

P8521 is a logical choice for farmers who prioritize yield security against aggressive disease pressure and aim for high-quality, fully developed grain with minimal expenditures on field disease management.
