The P8604 corn hybrid is an early-maturing simple hybrid with a dent kernel type and FAO index of 230. It features high plant vigor and strong ear attachment, providing good resistance to stalk and root lodging. Due to its high remontancy, manifested by the stay-green effect, the hybrid retains green mass longer, which contributes to increased yield and grain quality.
The Optimum® AQUAmax® technology provides synergy between early maturity and high yield, as well as excellent drought tolerance and efficient water use. The hybrid exhibits good resistance to stalk diseases (6 out of 9 on the resistance scale) and is treated for protection against diseases associated with monoculture. P8604 is suitable for cultivation under minimal soil tillage and demonstrates good adaptability to monoculture.
Recommended planting dates include optimal and late dates, while early planting is not recommended. Late harvest is not advised to avoid losing the hybrid’s early maturity advantages. Recommended plant density under adequate moisture is 70-75 thousand plants per hectare, and 65-70 thousand under insufficient moisture. For crop protection, apply pre-emergence herbicides strictly according to plant development stages, and avoid planting in monoculture or late harvest.
