The hybrid corn P9241 is a simple yet high-yielding grain-type hybrid with dent kernel type and medium-late maturity group (FAO 360). It is characterized by rapid early growth, allowing early planting, as well as good water-use efficiency and high growth energy. Due to its strong stalk, the hybrid exhibits good lodging resistance, making it suitable for late harvest. The ear contains 14-16 rows, contributing to high yield and grain quality.
P9241 features high drought resistance and tolerance to common corn diseases such as helminthosporiosis, blister, and gray leaf spot. The hybrid is adapted for cultivation in hot and dry climates, confirmed by the Optimum® AQUAmax® technology, which ensures maximum efficiency in using available water. It is suitable for monoculture and minimum tillage, but is not recommended for no-till systems.
Recommended planting density depends on moisture availability: under sufficient moisture, optimal density is 70-75 thousand plants per hectare; under insufficient moisture — 60-65 thousand. The hybrid is intended for cultivation in forest-steppe and steppe zones of Ukraine, ensuring stable and high yields under various agroclimatic conditions.
