Maize P8256

The hybrid corn P8256 is an ultra-early variety with a vegetation period of 66-69 days, making it an optimal choice for early planting and the first harvest season. This super-sweet Sh2-type hybrid contains more than 20% sugar, ensuring excellent taste. The kernels are bright yellow, and the ear length exceeds 20 cm, with ears well and evenly filled with kernels. Plant height reaches up to 180 cm, promoting good yield formation and resistance to lodging. P8256 exhibits high yield potential — 30 to 40 thousand ears per hectare when proper cultivation technology is followed. Seeds are treated with the complex of agents Maxim XL and Vitavax 200FF for protection against fungal diseases, as well as technologies based on effective microorganisms Radix perfecta to enhance drought resistance. The hybrid demonstrates high tolerance to major corn diseases such as mosaic, rust, sooty mold, and wilting, and also possesses enhanced heat and drought resistance, allowing successful cultivation under stressful conditions. P8256 is suitable for various uses: fresh marketing, processing, and consumption. Ears have a semi-cylindrical shape and feature high commercial quality, ensuring good performance during transportation and storage. It is recommended to sow at soil temperatures no lower than +12°C, at a depth of 2-5 cm, with a planting rate of 55-65 thousand seeds per hectare. Due to its characteristics and resilience, this hybrid is a reliable choice for farmers aiming to obtain high-quality, tasty early corn crops.
