Description Bazis
Corn BSS 1075 F1 (Basis) is an early-maturing SH2 sweet corn hybrid developed by the Dutch company Syngenta. The vegetative period is 65-75 days, allowing this hybrid to be grown in open ground, including early spring. The plant is compact, reaching a height of 150-180 cm, with a well-developed root system providing stable nutrition and resistance to sudden weather changes and various diseases. The hybrid exhibits high adaptability to agronomic conditions and is suitable for various agroclimatic regions. The corn ears are cylindrical, 21-22 cm long and about 5 cm in diameter, forming at approximately 35 cm above the ground. Each ear contains 16-18 evenly spaced rows of bicolor kernels — golden and white, in a ratio of approximately 70% to 30%. The kernels have a tender, juicy structure and high sugar content — around 28% — providing an exceptional sweet taste. They retain their flavor and texture even after storage and thermal processing. The hybrid can form two full ears per plant, significantly increasing yield. Corn BSS 1075 F1 is intended for both fresh market sales and processing — canning and freezing. Seeds are recommended to be sown in warmed soil to accelerate germination, with young plants resistant to temperature fluctuations. The hybrid is packaged by the manufacturer in batches of 5,000 and 100,000 seeds, convenient for farmers. Thanks to its short vegetative period and high product quality, this hybrid ensures stable income and market demand for fresh and processed sweet corn.
