The P0216 corn hybrid is a late-maturing simple hybrid with dent-type kernels, intended for grain production. It belongs to the maturity group with FAO 480 and has a high yield potential of 13-15 tons per hectare. The hybrid exhibits excellent water shedding during ripening, facilitating timely and high-quality harvest. P0216 is suitable for cultivation across all regions of Ukraine, including areas with hot and dry climates, due to its high drought resistance and adaptability to various agronomic conditions, including monoculture and minimal soil tillage. A key feature of the hybrid is the AQUAmax technology, which ensures efficient use of available soil moisture, particularly important for regions with insufficient water supply. The plant’s root system is more robust, enhancing water uptake and improving drought resistance. Seeds are treated with the insecticide protectant Force Zea, which protects against soil and above-ground pests and also has a deterrent effect on birds, contributing to crop protection and improved seed quality. P0216 demonstrates high tolerance to common corn diseases such as helminthosporiosis, blister and gray mold, and also exhibits good cold resistance. The recommended planting density varies depending on moisture availability: 55-60 thousand plants per hectare with sufficient moisture, and 50-55 thousand with limited moisture. Thanks to its agronomic characteristics and resistance to stress factors, the P0216 hybrid is a reliable choice for achieving stable and high yields under various climatic conditions.
