MT Matado

MT Matado corn is a plastic, simple hybrid with a dent kernel shape, primarily intended for grain production. One of its key features is large ears, capable of holding up to 900 kernels, which contributes to a high yield potential — up to 18 tons per hectare under optimal conditions. Plants reach a height of 220 to 240 cm, with ear attachment height ranging from 110 to 120 cm. The root system and stems exhibit high strength, ensuring resistance to adverse conditions and mechanical damage.

This hybrid belongs to the mid-late maturity group with FAO 380 and is characterized by good drought tolerance, making it suitable for cultivation in steppe and forest-steppe zones. Early plant development and moderate cold tolerance allow successful application of the hybrid at early and optimal planting dates. An important agronomic recommendation is to avoid monoculture planting and to use pre-emergence herbicides in accordance with corn growth stages.

MT Matado demonstrates high tolerance to stalk diseases and good water use efficiency, promoting high-quality grain formation and reduced losses during harvest. Recommended planting density varies depending on conditions: 50-60 thousand plants per hectare under unfavorable conditions, and 55-60 thousand under favorable conditions. The 1000-kernel weight is 300-350 grams, and ear rows reach 14-16 with 35-38 kernels per row, further confirming its high yield potential and grain quality.
