Osterbi CS

Corn hybrid Osterbi CS is an early-maturing simple hybrid with a silvery-ridged kernel type and FAO 210. Plants reach a height of approximately 260 cm, with the ear positioned at 110 cm. The hybrid is characterized by high initial growth energy, which promotes rapid development in the early stage. The ear contains 14 rows, each with approximately 31 kernels. The 1000-kernel weight reaches 290 grams, indicating large kernel size and good yield potential, which can reach 123 centners per hectare. Special attention is given to the resistance of Osterbi CS to various diseases and adverse conditions. The hybrid exhibits high resistance to early lodging (rating 8) and lodging at harvest (rating 7), which simplifies agronomic operations and reduces yield losses. Additionally, it shows good regenerative capacity (6) and phytosanitary condition (8), indicating healthy plants throughout the vegetative period. The hybrid is resistant to diseases such as helminthosporiosis (6), ear fusarium (8), and gray leaf spot (9), significantly reducing the risk of yield loss due to infections. For optimal cultivation of corn Osterbi CS, seed density should be adjusted according to moisture conditions. In dry regions, the optimal density is 80–85 thousand seeds per hectare, whereas in well-watered areas — 85–90 thousand seeds per hectare. This approach allows the hybrid to fully express its potential and produce a high-quality yield.
