Schobbi CS

Schobbi CS — an early-maturing, simple hybrid maize with FAO 210, intended for cultivation in the forest-steppe, steppe, and Polissia regions. Plants reach a height of approximately 260 cm, with ear attachment at 110 cm. The grain has a siliceous-toothed type, ensuring good quality and high yield. The 1000-grain weight is around 290-300 grams, with a potential yield of up to 123 centners per hectare. The hybrid is characterized by a starting growth energy level of 8, promoting rapid plant development during the early vegetative period.

Schobbi CS exhibits high resistance to major maize diseases, including helminthosporiosis, ear fusarium, and common rust, with resistance ratings ranging from 6 to 9 points. Additionally, the hybrid shows good resistance to lodging both early and during harvest, reducing losses and facilitating mechanized harvesting. A strong and flexible stalk ensures plant stability under various climatic conditions.

The hybrid is recommended for silage production using the DUO SILO® technology, enabling the production of high-quality silage with high yield. Due to its rapid drying capacity, Schobbi CS optimizes drying costs and ensures efficient resource utilization. The recommended planting density varies depending on moisture conditions: 80-85 thousand seeds per hectare in dry areas and 85-90 thousand seeds per hectare in areas with adequate moisture. Optimal planting begins when soil temperature reaches +10 °C.
