The NK Pako corn hybrid from Syngenta is a mid-early, late-maturing hybrid with FAO 440, ideally suited for cultivation in southern regions of Ukraine, particularly on irrigated land. This hybrid is characterized by high plasticity and resistance to root lodging, ensuring stable yields even under adverse agro-climatic conditions. Plants of the Stay Green type retain green biomass longer, promoting effective nutrient accumulation and improved grain quality.
NK Pako features a strong root system and an excellent leafy stalk, providing good resistance to stresses such as drought, cold, and high temperatures. The ear attachment height is approximately 150 cm, with short, aligned ears covered by a long husk. The kernels have a cream-colored, toothed type with a warm yellow hue, indicating high product quality. The hybrid quickly enters the flowering phase and exhibits rapid early growth, contributing to early development and high productivity.
To achieve maximum yield potential, an optimal plant density of 45,000 to 70,000 plants per hectare and high doses of mineral fertilization are recommended. The hybrid demonstrates high resistance to diseases and lodging, as well as rapid grain moisture loss during maturation, facilitating harvest and improving the quality of the harvested crop. NK Pako is one of the best options for cultivation in Ukraine's steppe zones, ensuring stable and high yields even under stressful conditions.
