LD 2003

LD 2003 — mid-early hybrid maize (Zea mays L.) of semi-intensive type, intended for cultivation in various regions, including Central, Central Chernozem, Volga, Lower Volga, Ural, West Siberian, and Far Eastern. Plants reach a height of about 260 cm, with the ear positioned at 80 cm. Grain is dent-shaped, with 14 to 16 rows and approximately 32 kernels per row. The 1000-kernel weight is 310 g, indicating high grain quality and yield potential. The hybrid exhibits excellent early growth and good water use efficiency, promoting effective water utilization and higher yields. LD 2003 responds well to medium and high agroclimatic conditions, enabling stable and high yields under optimal cultivation. The hybrid's yield potential is high: grain can reach up to 130 ц/ha, and silage up to 600 ц/ha. Average yields in the Central region are 53.6 ц/ha, and in the Volga region — 68.1 ц/ha.
