FAERFOX is a mid-late simple hybrid maize (Zea mays L.) developed by MAISADOUR SEMENCES S.A. from France. The plant is characterized by medium or high height, slightly curved leaves with small or medium angle between leaf blade and stem. The ear is of medium length and thickness, with kernels of intermediate type, closer to starchy, with yellow-orange coloration on the upper part and orange on the lower. The vegetation period is approximately 122 days, which corresponds to the average level for this type of maize. The FAERFOX hybrid is distinguished by high yield — the average grain yield in the Central Chernozem region was 71.2 c/ha, 43% higher than the standard, with maximum yield reaching 98.4 c/ha. Grain moisture at harvest is approximately 30%, which is lower than the standard, facilitating subsequent processing and storage. The plant exhibits resistance to major diseases such as stalk rot, ear fusarium, as well as pests, such as the corn borer. FAERFOX is suitable for cultivation in various regions, including Ukraine, where high-yielding maize varieties are in demand for agricultural use, animal feed, and processing. The hybrid is well-adapted to adverse conditions, resistant to lodging and stress, ensuring stable yield. Recommended planting density is 70–75 thousand plants per hectare, which promotes optimal growth and maximum productivity of the crop.
