KWS 513

The KWS 513 corn hybrid is a high-yielding planting material designed for agricultural use. This variety is distinguished by its adaptability to various climatic conditions, ensuring stable yields even under challenging agronomic conditions. KWS 513 belongs to the mid-maturing hybrids with a dent kernel type, which facilitates effective use in various agronomic technologies.

Corn plants reach a height of 270-280 cm, and ears form 16-18 rows of kernels with 38-40 kernels per row. This ear structure contributes to high density and quality of the harvest. The optimal planting density before harvest varies depending on the level of moisture availability: in well-watered zones, 70-80 thousand plants per hectare are recommended; in areas with moderate moisture, 55-65 thousand; and in areas with limited moisture, 45-50 thousand plants per hectare.

KWS 513 is also suitable for silage production, making it a versatile hybrid. Using specialized corn hybrids for silage allows obtaining high-quality feed with a high dry matter content (around 35%) and a significant proportion of cobs in total mass (up to 50%). Such silage is a rich source of protein (around 18%) and provides high nutritional value comparable to barley grain. This makes KWS 513 an excellent choice for farmers aiming to improve livestock feeding efficiency and achieve high yields of green mass.
