DKS 4014

The hybrid corn DKS 4014 is designed for intensive cultivation technologies and is suitable for various soil-climate conditions, including the forest-steppe and steppe regions of Ukraine. It demonstrates high grain yield, with an average national performance of about 111.46 c/ha, and can also be used for silage production. Plants reach a height of 220–235 cm, with ear attachment height of 95–115 cm, dent grain, with kernel rows ranging from 35 to 42 and 1000-kernel weight between 280–350 g. Maturity group — medium, FAO — 310. Recommended planting density varies depending on moisture conditions and ranges from 50,000 to 75,000 plants per hectare. DKS 4014 exhibits high resistance to stress factors and diseases. The hybrid has a strong root system, ensuring good drought and lodging resistance, as well as high tolerance to common corn diseases such as fusarium, rust, and helminthosporiosis. Initial growth energy is rated at 8.0, resistance to stalk rot — 9.0, and stability and plasticity — 9.0. Thanks to these characteristics, the hybrid quickly adapts to external conditions and shows rapid water release, contributing to high-quality ripening and harvest. The hybrid can be grown under traditional and minimal soil tillage, starting from soil temperature of 10 °C. It is suitable for all soil types except heavy clay soils, and performs best in crop rotation. Recommended planting density depends on the moisture zone: from 50,000–55,000 plants per hectare in damaged plantings to 65,000–75,000 in well-watered zones. High starch content in grain (over 72%) makes this hybrid attractive for both grain and silage production, ensuring high productivity and quality of harvest.
