Corn hybrid 'Collosso' is a high-yielding, mid-early, three-line hybrid with a dent-type kernel, developed by Australian breeders of the company SAATBAU LINZ. The vegetation period is 85-97 days, allowing timely harvest. The 1000-kernel weight ranges from 280 to 300 grams, and the starch content in the grain reaches 70-72%, ensuring high density and quality of the grain. Ear characteristics include 14-16 rows with 40-46 kernels per row, totaling 640 to 820 kernels per ear.

The hybrid is characterized by high grain and vegetative mass yield, reaching 102-119 centners per hectare. It exhibits excellent adaptability to various climatic conditions, including drought periods, due to high drought and cold resistance. Plants demonstrate high growth energy at the early development stage, promoting rapid and uniform crop formation. Additionally, the variety shows high resistance to a range of diseases, such as rust, helminthosporium, root rot, and fusarium, significantly reducing the risk of yield loss.

'Collosso' is suitable for cultivation on grain fields as well as for silage and biogas production, thanks to its optimal nutritional value and digestibility of silage. Seeding rates are 80-100 thousand plants per hectare, and the packaging unit contains 80,000 seeds. High resistance to stem breakage and adaptability to various soil-climatic conditions make this hybrid a universal and reliable choice for farmers aiming to achieve stable and high-quality yields.
