The hybrid belongs to simple types with cream-toothed kernels and has a pink stalk core color. Plant height reaches approximately 290 cm, and ear attachment height is about 130 cm. There are approximately 29 kernels per row, with row numbers ranging from 14 to 16. The 1000-kernel weight is approximately 320 grams. Recommended planting density depends on moisture levels: 60-70 thousand plants per hectare under insufficient moisture, and 75-80 thousand under adequate moisture.
ES ASTEROID exhibits high tolerance to common corn diseases, significantly reducing the risk of yield loss. The hybrid is cold-tolerant and ensures uniform emergence when planted early. The required temperature sums for various developmental stages are: up to flowering — 910°C, for silage with 32% dry matter — 1580°C, for grain at 32% moisture — 1720°C.
