Maize ES ASTEROID

Proven European genetics for your harvest

Choosing EC Asteroid by Euralis Semences means prioritizing predictable performance in the field. As a simple hybrid with flint-dent grain, it serves as a versatile solution for modern farms. Whether your goal is high-yield grain production or high-quality silage, this French-bred hybrid offers the flexibility required for efficient farm management.

Superior disease resistance

What sets EC Asteroid apart from its peers is its robust genetic profile, specifically tailored to withstand common corn pathogens. This hybrid significantly reduces the need for reactive crop protection measures by showing inherent resistance to:

• Helminthosporiosis: Keeping leaf surface area intact for optimal photosynthesis.
• Fusarium ear rot: Preventing yield loss and mycotoxin contamination, even during wet harvest conditions.
• Common smut: Maintaining stalk and ear integrity throughout the growing season.

This natural resilience makes EC Asteroid an excellent choice for farmers who operate in environments where crop rotation pressure is high or disease incidence is a recurring threat.

Optimized planting density

The hybrid displays remarkable adaptability to different sowing densities, which is a major advantage for planning. Producers can adjust seeding rates from 60,000–70,000 plants per hectare in limited-moisture zones up to 75,000–80,000 plants per hectare in high-fertility areas. By optimizing density based on specific local conditions, farmers can maximize their output per hectare. EC Asteroid stands out as a low-stress, high-reliability option for those who demand consistency in their agricultural results.
