Corn Dodixx is a simple two-line medium-early hybrid included in the State Register for the North Caucasus region. The plant is tall with wide leaves and a medium-length ear with a short peduncle and medium number of rows of kernels. The kernel is intermediate type, closer to dent, with yellow coloration on the upper part. The vegetation period is about 97 days, ensuring timely maturity and rapid moisture release before harvest. The average grain yield in the region reaches 60.5 centners per hectare, which is 9.4% higher than the standard, and the grain moisture at harvest is about 20%, which is 3.4% lower than the standard. The hybrid is resistant to smut and stalk rot, enhancing its reliability in agronomic terms.
Dodixx is characterized by distinct morphological features: leaves slightly curved with a small angle between the blade and stem, weak anthocyanic coloring of roots and panicle bracts. The main panicle axis is of medium length, forms a medium angle with lateral branches, which are slightly curved and have a small number of branches. Anthocyanic coloring of silk and leaf sheath is absent or very weak, which is a characteristic feature of this hybrid.
The hybrid is suitable for cultivation in the North Caucasus region and is distinguished by high yield and grain quality. Thanks to rapid moisture release and disease resistance, Dodixx is a reliable choice for farmers aiming to achieve high grain yields with optimal moisture at harvest.
