Sugarcane corn hybrid DN Svitiaz is a medium-early grain hybrid registered in the State Register in 2015. This variety has a maturation period of 116 to 130 days and is suitable for cultivation in various climatic zones of Ukraine, including forest-steppe, forest, and steppe regions. Plant height reaches 240-250 cm, and ear attachment height is 90-100 cm, facilitating harvesting and high yield.
DN Svitiaz is characterized by high yield, which varies by region: in the steppe zone, it reaches approximately 47.9 centners per hectare, in the forest-steppe zone — 77.7 centners per hectare, and in the forest zone — up to 81.5 centners per hectare. The potential yield can reach 10.0-12.5 tons per hectare. The variety exhibits high resistance to lodging (9 points), diseases, and pests, as well as good drought tolerance (8-9 points) and resistance to ear rot (9 points), making it a reliable choice for cultivation under various conditions.
This corn hybrid is recommended for grain use and is suitable for cultivation in diverse climatic conditions due to its adaptability and resilience.
