DN Nur is an early-maturing hybrid of sweet corn, characterized by high cold resistance and universal usage. The plant is of medium to above-average height (from 170 to 230 cm depending on the region), with a strong stalk and resistance to root lodging, stalk rot, ear fusarium, and damage by corn stalk borer. The ear reaches a length of 20-22 cm, contains 14-16 rows of kernels with a cream-toothed structure and yellow color, and the 1000-kernel weight varies from 250 to 280 g. The hybrid exhibits good plasticity and drought resistance, allowing successful cultivation in various climatic conditions, including the Northwestern, Central, Volga-Vyatka, Middle Volga, Eastern Siberian, Lower Volga, Ural, and Far Eastern regions.
The DN Nur hybrid features accelerated grain drying, facilitating harvesting and reducing moisture at harvest. It demonstrates high grain yield — in competitive trials in Ukraine, yields ranged from 6.35 to 9.18 t/ha, and average yields across various regions of Russia and Ukraine vary from 28.5 to 158.2 c/ha depending on growing conditions. The hybrid is resistant to major diseases and pests, including scab diseases, and exhibits high resistance to lodging, which enhances the quality and quantity of the harvest.
DN Nur is recommended for cultivation in forest-steppe zones and other regions with variable climates. It is suitable for both grain production and silage, making it a versatile solution for farmers. High-quality seeds, including original, elite, and reproductive, ensure stable and reliable planting material. Thanks to its characteristics, the DN Nur hybrid maintains marketable appearance for a long time, which is crucial for product marketing and storage.
