Maize LG 31233

French breeding for a balanced ration

Limagrain LG 31233 is a versatile maize hybrid that has established itself as a reliable tool for growers aiming for high-quality silage and commercial grain. Developed by the French breeders at Limagrain/Semlima, this hybrid is designed for farms where yield stability and high nutritional value are top priorities.

Agronomic profile and resistance

One of the key strengths of LG 31233 is its robust genetic protection. The hybrid demonstrates excellent resistance to the most critical pathogens in temperate climates. Breeders have placed special emphasis on resistance to Fusarium ear rot and common smut, significantly reducing the risk of quality loss during wet autumns or under stressful weather conditions.

• Grain type: Flint-Dent, providing an optimal balance of starch and protein.
• Usage: Comprehensive application including silage, high-energy feed, and commercial grain.
• Crop health: Strong inherent immunity to Fusarium and smut minimizes the need for heavy fungicide applications.

Due to its adaptability, this hybrid performs well across various soil types. The Flint-Dent grain structure makes it suitable not only for standard commercial needs but also for livestock production, where dry matter digestibility is crucial. LG 31233 is the ideal choice for growers seeking a balance between high-intensity yields and reliable resistance to field diseases.
