Maize MAS 26K

French breeding for high grain productivity

The MAS 26K corn hybrid by Maisadour Semences is an agronomic tool designed for growers focused on maximizing marketable grain yields. The company's French breeding program is rooted in developing strong yield potential by optimizing the plant’s physiological processes during the window between flowering and physiological maturity.

Key hybrid features

• Dent grain type: Provides high moisture release intensity. This is a critical factor for reducing post-harvest handling costs (drying) and minimizing the risks of grain spoilage during storage.
• Simple genetic structure: Using a simple hybrid ensures crop uniformity. Plants develop synchronously, which simplifies combine harvesting settings and allows for optimal threshing parameters with minimal losses.
• Extended growth period: With a maturation window of 120–140 days, this hybrid falls into the medium-late maturity group. This duration allows the plant to accumulate significant organic mass, effectively converting solar energy and water into dense, heavy ears.

The engineering approach of Maisadour Semences for this hybrid focuses on resistance to the stress factors characteristic of the second half of the growing season. Thanks to a robust root system and adaptability to various soil types, MAS 26K consistently delivers its genetic yield potential, providing farmers with high-quality grain of high specific weight.
